Chris Howard
It was around this time that Chris—Scott and Angie’s son—was considering some changes of his own.
Chris had started his own roofing and construction company right out of high school. More than just a business, roofing and construction is Chris’s passion—and one he credits his dad with igniting in him.
But he wanted a change of scenery. He wanted to be close to family. He wanted to build something in business with his dad.
The father-son duo founded Howard Roofing and Construction in Wilmington, NC, that year—and now they make a living out of building lots of somethings in the community they love.
Scott Howard
Scott Howard is a US Marine Corps veteran with more than 40 years of experience in the building construction field. Even before Scott worked in construction, he’d tagged along with his own dad, working construction sites as his father built homes and motels in Maine.
The call of the North Carolina climate—and Scott’s in-laws—was too much, though. Scott and Angie packed up and headed back to Angie’s hometown, Wilmington. This, thought Scott, is home.
